Is there an area of your life where you’ve wanted forward movement but you find that things are just not progressing as you’d like? Things seem to be dragging along with no clear idea of how to make it better? Are you stuck in analysis paralysis? Are you ready for change? Are you ready to take your foot off the brake?
Wait, what? Foot on the brake? Whether you know it or not, you may subconsciously have your foot on the brake. Subconsciously you’re doing everything possible to not move forward. Maybe you’re scared of the changes that will happen. Even when we consciously want the change and our brain says “yes, let’s make this happen,” there is often a scared version of ourselves holding back. Wanting to wait until we feel 100% safe or our lives are in a different place or any number of excuses.
What can you do when you find yourself in this spot? When you finally recognize, “yes, this is me, this is where I am”. Just take a step. Any step. There are a lot of reasons we hold ourselves back but as we start to take steps towards our goals, those little success milestones build on each other and grow our confidence.
Maybe you want to write a book. Go take a class on “Writing Your First Book” and be open to whatever information comes to you in that class. Even if you don’t do anything for another year, these little steps add up. These little steps tell the universe, “This is what i want!” When you state what you want, and take steps towards it, you’ll find that all sorts of synergistic opportunities come your way. Be open and awake to the opportunities presented to you. Take hold of these opportunities and put your foot on the gas.
