Play and Be Light

I was going to continue talking about releasing old beliefs and clarifying values today but that topic will need to wait for another day.
Last night I dreamt of a hummingbird. It was actually a huge hummingbird with a massive orange body. The hummingbird is a symbol of playfulness. It reminds us to enjoy life and be light.

I loved that the hummingbird was almost entirely orange. Orange represents our 2nd chakra, the sacral chakra. This chakra is associated with our creativity, sexuality, and security. It’s located just below the navel so it is connected to the parts of the body associated with this area including the hips, lower back, sexual organs, kidneys, and stomach.
I’m fascinated by my dream as I’ve been working with this chakra lately with my acupuncturist. I’ve had a hip problem for a year now and we’re making progress, releasing the pain that is there.
The hips and hip pain is associated with the emotion of walking your path. When we resist or hold on to the old way of doing things, the pain grows. We aren’t being authentic. We aren’t stepping forward in our authenticity.
I thought I would put the “releasing old beliefs” topic on hold this week, but my dream suggests it’s still relevant to me, but maybe the message is being sent in a different package.
Although our dreams are egotistic, perhaps the message for me is helpful to others.
Can we release the old beliefs that hold us back from walking our path? Can we accept the spiritual lesson of the 2nd chakra and “let go”. Accept the lesson of the hummingbird and play and be light?
I hope to incorporate this into my week.
